The snake sheds its skin...

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (TM Founder) once said: "The snake sheds its skin at the rate the snake sheds its skin. You can't rip the skin off the snake." Each of us are where we are in our own evolution. You can't talk to young souls about spiritual development or a life of service, and you can't talk to old souls about running a corporation or a country.

Level 1 souls. A cargo cult is a belief system among members of a relatively undeveloped society in which adherents practice superstitious rituals hoping to bring modern goods supplied by a more technologically advanced society.

Level 3 souls at a Seattle Patriot Prayer protest. Level 3 souls focus on their country, their god, their flag, their football team. They have no spiritual awareness. They are terrified of dying, but will die for a cause about which they feel strongly.

Virtually ALL political, military, religious and business leaders are level 5 souls. They know how to use level 3 souls as cannon fodder.

In the 8th century, Padmasambhava prophecied: "When the iron bird flies and horses run on wheels, the Tibetan will be scattered over the Earth like ants and the Dharma will go to the West, even unto the land of the Red Man." The Tibetan may have been incarnating in America for the past century, and bringing the Dharma (spiritual awakening), but not in great enough numbers to make a dent. Sadly, America is a young soul country.

Nine signs you're an old soul: You tend to be a solitary loner, love knowledge, wisdom and truth, are spiritually inclined, understand the transience of life, are thoughtful and introspective, see the bigger picture, are not materialistic, were a socially awkward child and just "feel" old.
